Rachel your birthday dinner was such a fun night! Some of these pictures are funny, too.

Ok, finally I post something new.
So, I'm not very good at keeping up with my own blog, but today I will try to a little. This summer has been great here in New England, maybe to much rain but a lot of fun enjoying all the parks and beaches. Silas is learning and saying so much lately. Some of his new and old words are ride, road, animals, man, slide, swing, sand, Bible, Jesus, I love you, umm(this one is funny and makes me think if I use it a lot), well pretty much anything you say he tries to repeat and he can put words together. Here are some pictures of some of the things we have been doing this summer. I still haven't figured out how to add a picture with the heading on top:) One day I might just figure it out but until then sorry about the random pictures. Some captions that were going to go along with the pictures were: Watch Hill beach in RI, Silas playing with seaweed, Picking blueberries with our dear friend Rachel, Silas takes his cars everywhere with him, Silas using the kitchen cabinets as a playhouse.

Silas' Easter outfit
Silas looked so cute in his new outfit Gran bought him yesterday. Thanks Gran and Grandad for the new outfit! When I put his outfit on he kept looking at himself in the mirror and smiling. He now smiles for the camera when we take his picture. He really is growing up quick:(

Sr. Patrick's Day Parade in Providence
This parade was so fun for us. It was pretty much on our street. I think Silas really enjoyed it. We will definitely go back next year. He's also sporting his new backpack/leash. It's been really helpful and sometimes frustrating for Silas.

Silas' 1st Time Painting
Silas' Aunt Kristy bought him paint for his birthday and we decided to play with them today. Outside there is about a foot of snow and actually it's a little warmer today, at freezing or a little above:) Silas liked playing in the paint, but I think he liked playing in the water better. Thanks Kristy for the paint, I'm sure we will play with them more in the future.

"The Worst of Sinners"
I have been reading this book by Dave Harvey "When Sinners Say I Do" and have learned so much. I recommend this book to all married couples. I am reading now about understanding I am the worst of sinners. Some other quotes from the book that I need to grow in are: "When I find myself walking in the shoes of the worst of sinners, I will make every effort to grant my spouse the same lavish grace that God has granted me," and "understanding I have an ongoing need of a Savior." You probably know we have been remodeling a house, and it seems like that is all I think about here lately rather than caring for my husband. I am thankful for this book and will hopefully finish reading it. I always start a book, get halfway through and start another one.
